Book Reviews of the unChristian: What a New Generation Really Thinks about Christianity... and Why It Matters

Customer Review: Technical, but great insight!
Summary: 4 Stars

Being a pastor, I am constantly endeavoring to be relevant to my flock. In an effort to unlock the mystery of the generation I didn't understand, I purchased this book. Kinnamon has done a great job of defining the problems which my generation (boomer) has being optimistic about bringing the 16-29's to the redemption of Christ.

My only difficulty with the book lies in its nature. Much of what is offered is based from the excellent research he has done. The information, at times, must be waded through, in order to glean his point in each chapter. Sometimes my eyes glazed over, but the reward was great as Kinnamon applies his research through interviews he has evaluated and published.

This book will be the standard for understanding a very depraved generation of body-art-loving, pierced, droopy pantsed, information-overloaded, techno-heads, who truly are interested in Christ and His primitive form. The greatest attraction to Jesus for them, is the abundance of love Jesus offers. Kinnamon knows this and inspires the reader to embrace this generation.
