Book Reviews of Your Body's Many Cries for WaterBook Review: Blessing Summary: 5 Stars
I don't know where to begin about the importance of the message in this book. We have all heard that water is good for you, but that's like saying breathing is good for you. I never knew how crucial hydration is until I read this book. I'm 47 years old and up until now I had many health issues, obesity, stomach problems, arthritis, migraine headaches, inflammation, neck pain, lower back pain, depression, dry skin, and many other aches and pain. After following Doctor Batman's water cure advise, only 3 weeks later, I am not only losing weight effortlessly, but have also gotten rid of all my pain! I was dehydrated to the point where I was sweating acid! For 12 years I have been telling my multiple doctors that when I sweat, I break out in rashes. You would think that should have been an alarm to any doctor worth his/her salt, right? You would think they would at least ask how much water do you drink a day? They NEVER, EVER did! Now I know that I was literally sweating acid! That makes me very angry at the incompetent, ignorant and greedy sick-care system as Dr. Batman calls it, and rightfully so. I feel so blessed to have found this book, to me, it was like a gift from above. Everyday I send blessings to this dear doctor who was able to cure me from his grave, when alive doctors never cared to do so. You will not regret buying this book and following Dr. Batman's advice. It will save you lots of pain and money throughout your life. It will save your life and your loved ones.
Book Review: A Must-Read! Summary: 5 Stars
I stumbled upon the Water Cure and kept hearing this book referenced, so I bought it. I am so glad that I did! I had no clue that I was as dehydrated as I was! When I started drinking more water my skin improved, my energy increased, my aches and pains went away and I just started feeling like a different person!
My sister has arthritis and I told her about it and managed to get her to drink more water for a time. She was skeptical but admitted that she didn't hurt as bad when she drank more water. She has fallen away from it and now in so much pain she has to go to physical therapy! Oh how I wish she would listen to the advice in this book and start drinking water again!
Thanks to this book I always keep a glass of water beside me everywhere I go, and while I do drink coffee in the mornings and the occasional soft drink it has gotten to the point where at times I prefer the water over anything else offered!
I used to think Father strange when he would pass up all commercial drinks in favor of water when he felt thirsty, but now I am the same way--I would rather have plain water than anything else to drink.
If someone would have told me that water would improve my health so much, that I would actually prefer it to the soft drinks I used to chug I would have laughed. Thank you for writing this Dr.Bat, and may you rest in peace!
Book Review: A Blessing to Dr. B. Summary: 5 Stars
Actually this review is a cross reference to Dr. B's other masterpiece, How to Deal with Back Pain and Rheumatiod Joint Pain, where I have extensively written a chronology of successful curing of my dislocated disc in my lower back. I had purchased Many Cries... a few months ago (2008 revised edition) where page 51 describes 2 alignment exercises for the discs in the neck. By coincidence, my neck was more stiff than usual. My chiropractor and his massage therapists could not relax the left side of my neck no matter how many sessions they tried. In December 2008 I was going to them several times a week with minimal success. By chance I came across the techniques on page 51 and after 3 sessions with a 48 hour rest between each self-session in the week after Xmas 2009, I have not had any recurring stiff necks( today is Jan 24, 2010). I say 'by chance' because this neck tech is not explained in his Back Pain book and I just happened to start reading Many Cries... I recommend all of his books. I have read most. There is some repetition but I have learned something new in each of his books. Between this book and the Back Pain edition, back pain should be history for you.How to Deal With Back Pain and Rheumatoid Joint Pain
Book Review: So simple, refreshing and cogent. Summary: 5 Stars
Dr Batmanghelidj seems to me to be the sort of doctor that all doctors should aspire to be.
He gathers the facts through astute observation and listening to his patients. He then is prepared to put aside his training if those facts challenge what he has learned to that point, and he carries out the necessary research to confirm what the facts are telling him.
His emphasis on the "solute" paradigm is very much opposed to the "accepted opinion" of the wider medical community, but everything he presents in this book reeks undeniably of the truth. There is no obfuscation or manoeuvring to maintain any assumed high ground. He presents the facts straightforwardly and simply. They speak for themselves.
Most of us are chronically dehydrated. Water is essential and its frequent consumption is in the best interests of our health.
I'm sure that in years to come Dr Batmanghelidj will be hailed for the courage that he showed in stating his findings so boldly and standing his ground unequivocally.
A great read and highly informative.
Book Review: Full of useful knowledge and advice Summary: 5 Stars
This is a book that everybody in our western culture should own. It explains how we get sick and fat by drinking pop, coffee and alcohol instead of water. The good news is that we can get better and less heavy by just drinking between two and three liters of water a day. The big insight consists in the fact that our body needs water to function properly, water that cannot be replaced by any other fluids. Pop, coffee and alcohol in fact dehydrate us which means that the intake of these beverages has to be compensated by additional intake of water. As soon as you have read the first pages of the book, you will start to drink water because you learn that you will get seriously ill if you don't. This is important knowledge that we unfortunately don't get from our physicians. It is absolutely unbelievable how many conditions can be cured (and not only treated) by the correct intake of water. Go for this book!
