Book Reviews of Your Body Belongs to You

Book Review: Simple, direct, and not scary
Summary: 5 Stars

This book was perfect for young children, ideally pre-school aged. It's written in a simlpe and direct format. It provides children with the education that their body belongs to them and teaches them to protect themselves without putting fear in them. Some books out there seem to increase the fear and anxiety that most people are dangerous, this book helps increase the child's self esteem and encourages their confidence that they can say no if the situation comes up. A def. read for young children!

Book Review: Appropriate
Summary: 5 Stars

I had been looking for an age-appropriate book for my 2 1/2 year old twins on the subject of body awareness and molestation prevention. The problem was that most books either just talked about body parts, or were written for an older child (so they were scarey or just over their heads). This one really addresses those problems. It is a perfect introduction for preschoolers on the subject.

Book Review: Friends child loved it!
Summary: 5 Stars

We bought this book for a friend who has a daughter and her daughter loves this book. She is 5 years old and the level of understanding is more appropriate for her age group. I think everyone who has a child needs to be concerned these days about predators and this book is creative in teaching a child that their body should only be their own and not for anyone else to touch.

Book Review: Protect your small children with this book
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought two of these little books so my children could read them to their preschool kids. It gives even preliterate children the ability to talk about things that might happen to them, despite our best efforts to protect them. If they know how to talk about improper touching, we can intervene much quicker. Besides, kids like it when we read to them.

Book Review: Appropriate for Preschoolers
Summary: 5 Stars

After reviewing several books, I found this to be the most appropriate book for my preschooler on this topic. It is a good place to start having conversations with your child and is sufficiently vague enough not to frighten him or her. I think if you have the expectation that this book IS the conversation, you will be disappointed.
