Grilley's small, concise book details a different approach to yoga which goes against much I have learned in classes but which feels great. He recommends staying in poses for several minutes at a time, letting the breath flow naturally and letting this work the connective tissue of the body. The poses are. largely. traditional ones with different names but staying in the pose really gets deep into the joints!Book Review: Yoga is new for me

Although I've been been physically active since childhood, I hadn't ever delved into yoga. Other than a few classes here and there, I was a total beginner. In fact, I still am. This book was recommended to me by a friend of mine who has been practicing yoga forever and I love it. I truly love it, it has been far more helpful to me than any class or DVD I've ever taken or done. It just feels good.Book Review: Solid yet Soft

I just received my book in a timely manner. The book overall is excellent. It is easy to understand. I am new to the yoga experience and have been guided to practice Yin Yoga. My first experience using the book was very positive. After practicing I had great clarity of mind and my body felt energized and relaxed. Paul got it right with this book. Yin Yoga is counter-intuitive, if you've developed traditional yoga intuition. You hold the postures differently, in order to feel the stretch deep in your joints. It's a strange feeling, but is very healthy for your body and is quite addictive.
