Book Review: Ah that voice, is that Guy or the Sheriff?
Summary: 5 Stars
Over the last year I've begun ordering and listening to audio books, most specifically to listen to on the long drives I take to Orlando or Atlanta. I started out with a couple of Doctor Who read by David Tennant and then moved on to this book read by Richard Armitage. As a huge fan of them both, the initial purpose was to just hear their voices. Sad, I know, but I am a sucker for an accent!! As I started listening to this one though, I was transported to the times in front of my tv on Saturday night watching the BBC series of Robin Hood. With every sentence I was drawn in deeper and deeper and just absolutely amazed that this man could portray so many of the characters believably! From hearing the deep, throaty bellow of the Sheriff yelling over the crowd, to Robin's softer accent, to even Much's voice. I actually had to catch myself thinking that all of these actors were actually speaking along with Richard.
I highly recommend anyone out there that is a fan of Richard and/or Robin Hood to check these out. Even to just listen to for a few minutes in the car on the way to work. Luckily this one is shorter then ones I've previously listened too, so I can finish it faster and play again. Also, at the end is a small interview with Richard regarding his role as Gisborne. PS: I've already ordered another called The Seige!
