Book Reviews of Wishful DrinkingBook Review: Deliciously witty and refreshing Summary: 5 Stars
I almost never buy books in hardcover, but I'm glad I made an exception to this one. Her wit will have you laughing out loud, and there is a measure of solace to be found in her unabashed veracity of self. It was not too short or lacking, as some other reviews have mentioned, but rather perfectly...encapsulated. ;)
Book Review: Wish it was longer Summary: 5 Stars
Carrie Fisher is the most entertaining woman on this planet or any other (including those in the Dagoba system). I tried to read this book slowly so it wouldn't end and even went back and re-read parts to keep from finishing but alas it had to happen. I loved it! And I can't wait to see what she does next!
Book Review: Great Book, Great Service! Summary: 5 Stars
Carrie Fisher is so real, and that's what I love about her! I picked the book up and didn't put it down until I read cover to cover. Wishful Drinking shows how Carrie's sense of humor helps her through situations many of us would find devastating!
Cheers to Amazon for their super service, too!
Book Review: One of the best books I've ever read! Summary: 5 Stars
It was the title that got me with this book. Fast and clever. The picture was very cute too. This book was so good that I couldn't put it down. Her honesty, warmth and humor along with a fierce intelligence shine brightly in this book. She made me a Carrie Fisher fan in 3 pages or less.
Book Review: Fresh, funny, and bold Summary: 5 Stars
I always enjoy everything Carrie Fisher writes or any movies she is in... I saw Ms Fisher's one woman play at the Geffen, Wishful Drinking, before I read the book..I enjoyed the book very very much. The play based on the book, was hilarious, and yet sad too.
Carrie is a survivor..
