Book Review: Awesome book, needs an update badly!

This is a really good book. I actually discovered it at an old boyfriend's house because a family member had given it to him when he bought his first home. The advice is really spot-on, but the "mindset" that this is all mom's work and the late 70s/early 80s cover art and dated recipes really show that the book could use an update. As other reviews have said, it's really marketed incorrectly in that it could be good for a new mom/family wanting to save money/someone who's just bought their first house or gotten their first apartment. It's misleading in that you think it'd be more about dorm life, and it has very little to do with life in college per se. The recipes are really dated and not exactly healthy. It's 70s casserole-type comfort food. I don't know many people now who are looking for Salmon Melt recipes or Spam Casserole recipes. They're kind of a hoot just to read actually.
