I was given this as a baby shower and as a first time parent, I found it to be very informative. I used it as a reference tool through out the toddler years and it even had a section on multiple births that I needed. I often compared my children's sysmptoms to what was in the book before I called their doctor. LOVED THE WAY THE AUTHOR DESCRIBES AND POINTS OUT DAILY SITUATIONS AND PROVIDES SOLUTIONS SO SIMPLE AND LOGICAL THAT THERE IS NO WAY THEY CAN FAIL. This book is so handy.. i bought it to refresh my memory with my grandkids since i have them here with me alot! It has been so helpful! I recommend it to any new parent or even if your already a parent! It's a great handbook and should be made legal for every parent and grandparent to own one! lol

Just like the other "What to Expect" books before it (While You're Expecting and The First Year), this book currently has a permanent spot on our end table and is the number one resource when we have any number of "issues" with our 2 year old. The book explains things in plain English and has been a savior on more than one occasion.Book Review: Helpful book

I do like this book alot. It has chapters by the months of age and milestones your child should be reaching and it also has special chapters on specific things like emergency and sickness. I don't listen to everything it says, but it is a good reference book on toddlers. I do recommend this book for parents with toddlers.
