Book Reviews of What to Expect The Toddler YearsBook Review: Excellent for doubts on the toddlerhood Summary: 5 Stars
If you want a quick reference to clear your mind of some questions you might have about your toddler, this is your book, with a decent and straightforward approach to tricky and embarassing situations that our toddler may have, it still has that "casual" feeling of talking to your next door neighboor, it gives general ways to treat those issues, and its a guide to be a gentle loving parent, if you want a medical approach, this is not your book, but wouldn't be bad to have it in your library.
Book Review: Practical and useful -- a must read Summary: 5 Stars
Don't be put off by a few negative comments in these reader reviews. There is a reason this series is a national best seller. I have young twins and this book (and the entire series) has been simply invaluable. I use it as a starting point/reference, read a few other books that have different perspectives (I like Penelope Leach but think Dr. Sears is much too liberal for me) and then apply common sense. That is what parenting is all about, right?
Book Review: If you have a toddler, you need this book! Summary: 5 Stars
I own all the books in this series ("What to Expect While You Are Expecting," "What to Expect the First Year" and this one), and they are a life-saver! They cover any and all topics for having and raising children and I don't know how I would survive without them! I have owned several other types of these books in each of these categories, but none of them are as good. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
Book Review: What to expect the Toddler years Summary: 5 Stars
This has been the best & most helpful book to me during my sons toddler years! It is packed with helpful tips & advice without being over the top. Any question you can think of is covered in this book! From sharing to toilet training & even lying, it has been invaluable to me & my friends who are constantly borrowing it. Whether for a gift or for yourself you won't be disappointed.
Book Review: Helpful & Hilarious! Summary: 5 Stars
The "What to Expect" series has not only made my job as a parent a little bit easier, but I've had several laughs along the way. A little humour not only allows you to not take things way too seriously, but you can have fun watching your baby/toddler grow. You feel motivated as ever to learn more about your child, and you have that sense of security, that other parents can relate with you.
