Book Reviews of What Would Google Do?

Book Review: Buck the system, shake things up
Summary: 5 Stars

I greatly enjoyed this book for the quality of Jeff's writing, broad scope and reach within the Web 2.0 community, and loose application of the theory of following in Google's footsteps. However, there's the rub: the main point of the work isn't to teach people to photocopy Google's business strategies - but more to ignore convention, buck the system and think way outside the box in developing a new way to do business.

Google got to be where it is today by being distinct and doing what they do better than anyone else on the planet, in their own unique way. Start with that and enjoy Jeff's offering.

Book Review: IF YOU ONLY READ ONE BOOK THIS YEAR ...
Summary: 5 Stars

If you're a baby boomer who's having trouble understanding even a tiny bit of the enthusiasm that your children and, more likely, your grandchildren have for the world of texting/Facebook/Twitter -- any and all Internet-based social (and business) networking -- read this book. It's eminently readable, and will widen your horizons in a marvelous way to the whys and hows this brave new world we live in really works.
P.S. I read this as a library book, and it was so good I had to get one for my husband.

Book Review: Can't figure out what the negative reviews are about
Summary: 5 Stars

Started this book bored with Oh-Lord-another-how-great-google-is-baloney attitude. It ain't about Google, folks, it's about what the rest of the commercial world is doing WRONG!! If the current economic crisis isn't enough to wake you up to ask how you are going to succeed starting right now going forward, then, yeah, you won't like this book, and you will complain about Jarvis's rants. And blather on about it's just another book. But I will leave you in the dust!

Book Review: More clarity on the electronic age than I have seen elsewhere
Summary: 5 Stars

I've had a hard time making sense of everything that's going on with the advance of the new media. Jarvis does a better job of clarifying what's happening than anything else I've read. I can't say that I've read a lot, but if you're like me (no time to become an expert myself), I think you'll find "WWGD?" very illuminating. Now other people's stuff makes more sense to me. I needed someone to give me the overall picture.

Book Review: Game Changer!
Summary: 5 Stars

I love this book! it has absolutely changed the way that I view my own business and how I will shape our future direction. Jeff has written a true game changing book and I highly recommend this book to any business manager, executive, small business owner, student.... etc. Anyone who is open to how business is evolving now and how it will look in the not too distant future. Well done Jeff! I can not wait for more....
