Book Reviews of What's So Great about America

Book Review: Aught to be required reading
Summary: 5 Stars

This book is a unique opportunity for a person to view America thru
the eyes of an intelligent perceptive man that was born in India but lived
in America for the last 35 years while working for the White House as a
policy adviser and currently has a high position in a Washington think tank.
He was raised in a culture alongside Muslims and Hindus and has a unique perspective of America's role in a turbulent dogmatic world.
This permits you to see how and why European and Islamic cultures see America as they really do and permits you to understand more deeply the
meaning of today's international headlines.
I sent it to a German friend for his take on the book.

Book Review: What's So Great About America- A Powerful Statement
Summary: 5 Stars

Dinesh D'Souza, a black writer who immigrated from India, makes an excellent case for why America is hated not only by some outside America as well as by some in America. D'Souza successfully and with authority argues against the multi-culturalism model that the "hate America first" crowd embraces.

D'Souza exposes America's warts as well as its virtues, and though America is not perfect, one can not help but conclude that America stands head and shoulders above every other nation of the world.

A must read for anyone interested in the history of America. This book clearly explains solutions that America has provided in the past and the challenges that America is facing today.

Book Review: Eye-opening and insightful to say the least
Summary: 5 Stars

D'Souza's writing is engaging and witty. Although much of the book is dense with historical information and political references, it is not at all boring to read. He has an excellent sense of humor, but you have to be paying attention to catch it. He is a master at debating and makes the most convincing case I have ever heard for American greatness. At times he comes off insensitive, but that is because he is speaking the cold, hard truth.

As a side note: His arguments are sound and difficult to refute. Those who disagree with him refuse to debate him in person and those that do...i.e. Jesse Jackson...make fools of themselves, which he references in this book.

Book Review: What's So Great About America?
Summary: 5 Stars

An outstanding and timely book. D'Souza, a legal immigrant, clearly and without overlooking the errors made by America tells us clearly what it is that is so great about America, and what it means to be an American. In an age in which we have lived in the entanglesd hypocrisy of multi-culturalism and the dictates of "politically-correct" thinking, D'Souza comes on stage with a clear and refreshing message.

A must read for every American who is open-minded and desires to see this country succeed.

Book Review: Objective and profound
Summary: 5 Stars

I was impressed. This was the first D'Souza book I read--I was hooked from the first page. I'm not one that goes around buying up political books...and that's why I bought this one. It's a book of history and philosophy written in plain and simple language. I couldn't put the thing down.

He gives some powerful analysis which, being a university student, I have seen proven around me again and again.

I'm tempted to buy more copies so I can loan them out--all I have is the hardback.
