Book Reviews of "What's Happening to Me?" A Guide to PubertyBook Review: Great introduction to discussing puberty with 9/10 yr olds! Summary: 5 Stars
My son and I had the best laughs reading this book; somewhat embarrasing at times but it was all out there, he was able to ask questions and it was a great way to discuss these things with him as it is with any child. I highly recommend this book for 9 or 10 year olds if your ready to discuss such things with them.
Book Review: What's happening to me Summary: 5 Stars
I have tried to get hold of this book in Australia for many years now. My children grew up on it and it is possibly one of the best introductions to young children as to what is happening to their bodies. My book has been passed around many families and is well worth reading.
Book Review: Great book! Summary: 5 Stars
This was recommended by my nephew and nieces as the most informative book about puberty (when I asked them). It is really good. It is to the point, but keeps it lighthearted. It addresses a lot of good questions and worries kids have but won't ask. I HIGHLY recommend it.
Book Review: Great discussion opener! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this book for my 10 year old son. It has great explanations and funny illustrations. It really opened the "sex talk" door for both of us and started us in open discussions for present and future questions. Best book on "pre-teen/teen" changes that I've encountered.
Book Review: Excellent book, especially for kids who are a bit anxious! Summary: 5 Stars
I am a child therapist. I have used this book with my own children and with clients. It is both factual and humorous (riotous drawings!), allowing a bit of levity for parents and children discussing a delicate subject. Highly recommended.
