Book Review: More Than a Mystery
Summary: 5 Stars
Elizabeth George is a master. The plot has been described by the other reviewers. What I enjoyed so much is character developments. Also this book reminded me of Ross McDonald as the story unwinds like an onion, with realization as each layer is removed. One does not care so much as to who did it but to understand how the pieces come together. Ms George does a wonderful job in bringing the pieces together.
Also the main characters continue to grow. I have now read three and look forward to continuing in the series.

When thirteen-year-old Matthew Whately goes missing from Bredgar Chambers, a prestigious public school in the heart of West Sussex, aristocratic Inspector Thomas Lynley receives a call for help from the lad's housemaster, who also happens to be an old school chum. Thus, the inspector, his partner, Detective Sergeant Barbara Havers, and forensic scientist Simon Allcourt-St. James find themselves once again outside their jurisdiction and deeply involved in the search for a child?and then, tragically, for a child killer.
