Book Review: Excellent for Foodies

I am addicted to the kitchen, I love to eat and I love to cook. This book is challenging enough for me to be fulfilled on both those levels. For instance... The Tandoori Marinade recipe might be a bust for some people who don't keep cardamom, turmeric, or garam masala on hand. But for a foodie who maintains an herb garden and has personal contacts to the Spice Islands for free spices, this is a no brainer winner recipe.

Don't get me wrong, there are some great easy "standards" in this book. Biscuits, Chocolate cake and vinaigrette (my 15 year old made the Raita recipe for gosh sakes). We pigged out on an Indian food meal complete with Naan, for only 11 points. I appreciated that! And so did my husband.

Do you need some skills to own this book? My answer: probably. Do you need to plan ahead to make these recipes? My answer is YES!

Book Review: A GREAT BOOK TO LEARN TO COOK YUMMY AND LOWER-CALORIE RECIPES!

I absolutely LOVE this cookbook! It is full of all the basic recipes that one needs to know to cook well and also has many excellent, healthy, good-tasting creations. After I joined Weight Watchers I had to learn how to cook differently. I had always used the Joy of Cooking as a guide, but I needed to learn how to cook with lower fat and calories. I checked out many cookbooks, but this was the best one by far for good, basic "how-to" recipes (sauces, soups, etc.) with lots of calorie-saving and flavorful ideas I would have never thought of. It is wonderful to have "diet" food that everyone loves! Many familiar recipes done differently and lots of new and international ideas too. I got the ring-bound version which stays open while you are using it, which some of the newer WW books don't have. Nice photos too. An excellent investment!

Book Review: GREAT FOOD

This cookbook is great, actually anything from weight watchers is pretty good. I am not trying to lose weight, but my brother is and so my brother's girlfriend has been using these recipes. Honestly, they're absolutely delicious. Even without trying to lose weight I would go out of my way to come home for dinner to eat meals because the food is just that great.

I highly recommend buying this book the recipes are great, weight watchers tries to unsure that you get all the nutrients and vitamins you need to be healthy, and everyone in the family would eat it. definitely get this book!! you will love it!

Book Review: A very complete cookbook.

If you are only going to buy one Weight Watchers cookbook, this should be the one. There are many different recipes as well as helpful tips, both about cooking and about tweaking recipes. All the recipes I have tried so far are delicious and don't taste "diet." The cookbook has mainstream staples, like food for Thanksgiving, as well as recipes with an international flavor. It's the most comprehensive Weight Watchers cookbook I have ever seen or owned.

Book Review: Best damn health food cook book

I joined weight watchers on Jan 2 and have lost 30 pounds. Since my husband didn't need to loose weight but I had to cook, this was the next best thing. He loves most all the meals in this book and you can not tell it's healthy. You just have to watch the portion sizes you eat. But it is wonderful. I bought one for myself and two more for my friend and brother.
The stuffed cicilian sausage pizza is to die for.
