Book Review: I'm on my 3rd cd!
Summary: 5 Stars
I love this cd! I first heard it years ago when I was a student teacher in an elementary school. A different song from this cd (tape, back then!) was used as part of the morning announcements. When I became a teacher myself, I used the tape as part of my class morning routine, and in no time my students were singing along to the Star Spangled Banner and singing the names of all 50 United States. I love how kids are used to to sing the songs. The tape eventually gave up, and I somehow lost the second copy (a cd!) so I recently bought this book and cd set for my own children to listen to. Still as wonderful as ever, except this time I noticed they made some changes and added and removed some things to make it a little more politically correct. Just to clarify, I put off buying this for a while because this is listed as a book, but it's actually a book AND cd set, so the kids can sing along with the songs and learn the words rather quickly.Book Review: Family Treasure!

My grandma bought this as a cassette for my sister for her 6th birthday. We listened to that tape all the time all year round and on all our family trips. Since then we have grown up and moved a couple times. During the moves she lost the tape and the whole family has been sad. So for her 17th birthday this year I decided to look on amazon and there it was on cd. I bought it and she loves it! The whole family is listening to it together. It is great! The quotes and songs are so wonderful and uplifting and you can sing right along. This collection of patriotic songs should be in every American home!Book Review: Great way to learn patriotic songs!

All the patriotic songs of old that I learned as a child are on here! I loved having the song book so that we can easily sing along with each song and even play on the piano. The famous quote inbetween each song has been an awesome learning tool. My kids have learned so much about history from the quotes and songs. After listening to the songs of the Confederate Army and of the Union Army, my kids (ages 7 and 10) were so interested in what the story between the two songs. Unlike a lot of the kids' CDs out there, I actually enjoy listening to the CD also.Book Review: All Primary Teachers Should Have This Song Collection!

I have used the Wee Sing America songs in my 2nd Grade Classroom for over 15 years. I've had to purchase this collection several times because I have literally worn it out. I use this collection for our morning openings right after the flag salute as well as singing performances for parent shows. My former students (now high school graduates) come back to visit me and always tell me they can still remember all 50 states in alphabetical order from one of the songs from this collection. I highly recommend this collection to all parents and teachers.Book Review: Educational, yet fun!

Growing up in the 1970's, history was not a subject we covered too deeply. This CD is like a walk through history with my own homeschooled children who thrive on history...and many subjects are covered from the Revolution and cod fishing to building the rails and moving west. Interspersed are famous quotes from beloved Americans and famous documents and inscriptions. They will also learn a song to memorize the 50 states. My kids have been listening to this CD for at least 5 years, and they still love it. I do too!
