Book Reviews of Voyager (Outlander)Book Review: Enjoyably Engrossing Summary: 5 Stars
Okay, for me this series started as a glorified romance novel, but has stretched into so many new directions, it would be a shame to simply classify it as such. More action/adventure than anything else, this third outing finds Claire eventually back in time with Jamie, climaxing in an adventure in the West Indies involving black magic, kidnapping, and murder. I thought it was great. And at over a thousand pages, that's a feat.
Book Review: Fantastic Fantasy Book Summary: 5 Stars
Voyager Terrific series by new author, starting with the incredible first book Outlander. She really creates her subjects and her knowledge of Scottish history is impeccable. A must read. At the moment the series has seven books. I'm only on the fourth, but I can't put these books down. A remarkable author and rewarding reads.
Book Review: Great for men and women Summary: 5 Stars
This is hands down one of the best books I have ever read. If you like strong characters with real emotions that make sense and an author who can truly suspend your disbelief, this book is for you. I actually picked this up used, read the whole thing, and went back to find the first two in the series. My husband and I have completely different taste in books, and he loves it too. I recommend the whole Outlander series.
Book Review: Diana Gabaldon Summary: 5 Stars
I love this series of books so much I recommend it to everyone I meet. The outlander series is the best series I have ever read, and I've read a lot of books. the first book in the series "Outlander", is the very best, most riveting story ever in the world! I laughed, and cried throughout. You won't regret buying this book and you'll want to save them in your library to read again or lend to all your best friends.
Book Review: Read them all - twice Summary: 5 Stars
All of Diana Gabaldon's books are true works of art. Of the thousands of books I've read her storytelling distinguishes her as an artistic craftsman capable of bringing to life complex and compelling stories that blur the mind's ability to reconcile that the story is fiction and not a personal account. Read them all, read the companion and then read them all again. Every word is worth it!
