Book Review: A Pure Masterpice Summary: 5 Stars
Jim Carroll's new collection of poetry is well crafted. The poems range from sujects such as love, friendship, and NYC. All the poems have different and cautious feelings, as Carroll's style is perfected in every single work that he does. Some highlights: Poem (My Ruins), While She's Gone, Zeno's Law Of High-Heel Shoes, Dance Floor and many others.
Book Review: STANDS UP TO GRAVITY Summary: 5 Stars
With well-crafted phrasing like "Standing up to gravity, Staring down the barrel of a gun" and "Lonely overwrought sighing on white wrought-iron benches", Jim Carroll once again presents a flawless selection of words and phrases...painting a portrait of a life in and of a complex and steadily expanding "Void of Course".
Book Review: He keeps on evolving! Summary: 5 Stars
Jim Carroll continues to inspire with his magical touch. The words become flesh and the characters speak out of the page. He is an inspiration to youth in pain - because you know he made it - you want to make it too! Few poets of the nineties are as in touch as this man. I always carry one of his books in my bag.
Book Review: Classic Jim Carroll Summary: 5 Stars
"My voice has a quiver. That's where you store the arrows before you shoot."- This is another great book of poems from Jim Carroll. With poems like "8 Fragments for Kurt Cobain", "While She's Gone", & "Message Left on a Phone Machine" this book is a must have!
