Before this book, I was afraid of knitting needles, but The Ultimate Knitting Book was my salvation. The instructions are easy to follow, but only if you are good understanding instructional drawings.
The only thing which is not practical about this book is that its not spiral-bound, and does not fit in my purse!
I really recommend this book!

I was given this book as a gift from a family friend when I first started knitting and have often found inspiration in its pages. There are basic instructions both for learning how to knit and many different stitches, as well as pictures.
This book is an excellent reference for almost any piece of knitting and I enjoy trying out the different stitches by making scarves for my family and friends. I would recommend this book as a great book to have in any knitter's collection.

I've attempted knitting many times but always met with failure. Having read the reviews and purchasing this book, I am so happy that now I can decently maneuver the knit and purl stitches which have in turn, opened up many more different stitches for me. The instructions require a little practice but once you get the hang of it, the lingo just becomes more understandable. My other knitting friend always tries to get her hands on my book whenever she can, and she can now knit hats, mittens and scarves. With this book, I will be making many heart warming items such as scarves, an afghan blanket and many more for my loved ones.
