I have gone through the first CD in this series in about 4 weeks time on my 1/2 hour drive to work in the morning. Ten sentences are read by the narrator with a new word in each sentence. The sentence is read again with two or three synonyms for the new word. Once the ten sentences are done, there is short music where you can rewind to the beginning of the section for repetition. I needed to listen to many of the words at least five or six times in order for me to remember them. For the first CD, there are approximately 150 words.
I have already seen some of the new words that I learned from this CD in books. In addition, I picked up a word that an actor had said in a movie that I probably would have never noticed before. This series will help me greatly with my vocabulary. I guess I am just a word lover and I enjoy learning new things. If you are like me, this CD series is for you.
