i agree with what one of the reviewers above wrote, that the book does have some material that is lacking or outdated, however, i am currently in pathology 2 at my vet school, and i have found that this book does a very good job of explaining the various diseases and conditions (esp. the more common ones) in a way that makes it a little easier to comprehend, and supports and clarifies my professors notes greatly. i also found it useful when i was in pathology 1 with its explanations of inflammation, necrosis and neoplasms. it is rather large but i have found it useful for school, and most likely good to have around in practice as a resource. i recommend this book to students that are about to take pathology courses in vet medicine.

This is the latest edition of the standard in comparative pathology, used by practitioners and students alike as a comprehensive yet understandable resource. Rigorously revised, the sixth edition introduces a wealth of new information on immunopathology and pathogenesis, viral diseases, environmental toxins, parasitic diseases, and nutritional problems in domestic and captive animals. Approximately half of the information presented is new, as are about 200 illustrations.
