Book Review: Confusing and not on my recommendation list
Summary: 1 Stars

The first 2/3 of the book isn't really a story. The forward tells that an authority, whoever that is we don't really find out, has put together the documents in order so that we can discover the story for ourselves. Some of these are diary entries and some are morgue examinations. This is an interesting and different way to give a story to readers however it was done rather well until the last 1/3 of the book where suddenly we have a ?short story? to complete the tale that totally destroys any purpose the previous pages had. Why not just write a normal story, or just give us the documents and diaries and let us explore it for ourselves. To me this was highly odd, disturbing, and confusing. The story was a bit on the gore side but if you like horror mystery type stories you are probably used to this. The end was a bit unsettling. Some things just didn't add up and left us questioning the author's sanity.

I've read other books by him and the others were quite good. However this book is indeed his worst and most possibly his greatest embarrassment.

I would definitely NOT recommend this book to anyone. It's just too confusing and disappointing to bother with. I'm sure there will be something better from the bookstore shelf that you can choose from.
