Book Reviews of Vampire, Interrupted (Argeneau Vampires, Book 9)

Book Review: Great story, lousy writing
Summary: 3 Stars

The story itself was pretty good but I thought the execution of it was deeply flawed. At least twice I found continuity issues (e.g., character wishing she'd had more time to explore such-n-such city last time they were there instead of three days buried in archive research, yet roughly 100 pages later it's being pounded into the read that she's never been to that city).

There seemed to be a lot of repetitiveness as well. It bothered me that near the beginning of the book the two main characters chatted all night in a coffee shop with him telling her all about his son's progression to becoming involved with a hard rock band, then near the end of the book they have very nearly the same conversation with him being very uncertain about what to even call the type of music his son was currently involved with... and her acting as if it were all brand new information to her even though the previous conversation happened no more than a week or so in the timeline of the book!

There were a few lines that kept repeating, too, as if the author felt the need to pound a certain idea into the reader's head (or just make word count) that I found extremely annoying.

All in all, I enjoyed the actual story but I do feel it could have been better written (or, you know, edited at all) without losing any of the magic.

Book Review: Marguerite Finally Gets Her Story Told!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Marguerite Argeneau, the mettlesome mother of Lucern, Bastien, Etienne, and Lissiana, finally gets her story told. 'Vampire, Interrupted' was a book all fans of the Argeneau's had waited for, and a book many feared would end the series. Luckily the ending puts your fears to rest. There are a great many more stories to be told and Marguerite and her mettling will remain a part of those story lines.
'Vampire, Interrupted'was very unexpected, I had no idea what Lynsay Sands was going to do for her story, but never would I have thought of this! Julius Notte is PERFECT for Marguerite!!! I loved the story line, it kept me at the edge of my seat for the entire book. Admittedly, yes, there were some editing mistakes, but I honestly don't believe that they take away from the book. This is now officially one of my favorite books of all time!!!
I recommend this book to all readers of the Argeneau series, all fans of Lynsay Sands, and any vampire romance fanatics.
The next book in the series is 'The Rogue Hunter', and I can't wait for it to come out!

Book Review: Awesome
Summary: 5 Stars

This whole series is awesome. I hope this isn't the last one there are still people left for her to match up.

Book Review: cute
Summary: 4 Stars

I totally agree with the reviewer who said the family tree in the front of the book spoiled the surprise of who Christain's mother is. I had the same problem. Otherwise, I enjoyed the book. I liked being able to read the story knowing that the time line was repeating from the previous novel (A Vampires are Forever) with Thomas and Inez. Reading about the purse being stolen and why she hadn't called the family for several days was cool.

It was also nice to know that Marguerite finds her mate after helping so many others find theirs. A bit sappy at the end, but still a fun read. I'm kind'a hoping Tiny gets someone, too. He's really funny.

Book Review: Marguerite's story
Summary: 5 Stars

Really enjoyed this book, empowering suppressed women! Vampires or not women need freedom of expression. With Julius a lovely poignant romantic hero and a range of story-lines intertwined it worked very well. Good stuff!
