Book Reviews of Vampire Hunter D Volume 9: The Rose Princess (Vampire Hunter D)Book Review: weaker book in the series Summary: 4 StarsNot as good as some of the other titles in the series but still worth reading.
Book Review: D at his worst....Kikuchi at his best! Summary: 5 StarsThis book stands out from all the others. I enjoy this series immensly, I've really become a die-heard D fan over the past year...but there is just something about this book that sets it apart from the others. It's darker, it's colder, its more raw. The other books tend to tell a darkly poetic vampire story, and this one does the same but it's interlaced with amazing action, vivid sci-fi elements and harsh cruelity. It seems like everyone in this book is heartless and cruel...but the worst is D. He's never been a particarlly kind character, he's always been cold and detached...but for some reason in this book he's worse than ever before. I still cannot belive how this book ended....that was just to cruel, even for D. He cannot always be the hero I guess. All in all this book just amazes me...like every other book in this series it is not your typical beautiful and immortal vampire book.
Book Review: good book Summary: 5 Starsgood book, can't wait for all the books to be translated, D is cold, you get a great example @ the end.
Book Review: Series only gets better Summary: 4 Starsi have enjoyed all of the Vampire Hunter books. So when I read this one it was only natural that I couldn't put it down. I was even late coming back from break a couple of times.
So I say that you have to read this book, because of the imagintaion that went into creating the world that it takes place in.
