Book Reviews of Un, Deux, Trois: First French Rhymes (Book & CD) (French Edition)Book Review: It fills in the blanks Summary: 5 Stars
I have only one child so far and I try to speak only French to him during the day. Sometimes it's hard to think of things to talk about, especially since he's only 8 months old and can't talk back! So, we listen to this CD of songs and rhymes and it's fun to sing along with them for the baby. Once I turn it on, he perks up and smiles. I can bounce him on my knees while we listen. Although it is only audio, it keeps him entertained for longer than any kids show we've watched so far. Then, even when we're not home, I can sing him the songs or chant the rhymes. They're easy to learn and memorize. I also like how the songs cover lots of types of animals, numbers, days of the week and some letters. I'm really glad I bought it!
Book Review: From a teacher, this is pretty neat! Summary: 5 Stars
For the price, what a lovely book! Hardback, full color, and a CD too! Wow! My four children enjoy the CD in the car, and they like to look at the pictures as well, as I read the rhymes. The two eldest (4 and 6 year old boys) are able to "read" along with me since they've heard the CD so much.
We're working through Flip Flop French: Ages 3-5: Level 1 as well, and so it's neat that when we got to the lesson on clothes, they already could pronounce the words, and were VERY excited about knowing part of their lesson before doing the activities! I highly recommend this book!
Book Review: C'est fantastique! Summary: 5 Stars
My one and a half year old enjoys this book and CD very much. It will be great when she gets older too because the rhymes are simple and they incorporate many things like numbers, body parts, days of the weeks etc...
I catch myself singing these songs throughout the day. It is a wonderful way to introduce French to your child. I highly recommend it.
Book Review: My 7th grader/1st yr French student's opinion Summary: 5 Stars
This book comes with a CD, which is great for learning pronunciation and also as a reinforcement for learning vocabulary. The pictures are entertaining and also helpful, since many are labeled with French names. The rhymes are fun way to improve a students French. This is a good book and CD set for French language beginners.
Book Review: Fun French Rhymes Summary: 5 Stars
My 5 year old granddaughter and I had a delightful time repeating and reading along with this child's French Rhyme book and CD. By the end of it she could repeat 3 French words perfectly with a big grin on her face! She took the book out the following night for repeat reading and for dancing to the musique! :)
