Certain books illuminate one's understanding of society and "human nature." Monroe's Ultimate Journey goes far beyond this -- if you are willing to suspend your disbelief. And you'll need to be generous here, I admit, because Mr. Monroe's tale is... awe-inspiring. Its implications are utterly profound.
With disarmingly plain-spoken humility and a refreshing lack of mysticism or superstition, Mr. Monroe purports to answer questions that have plagued the philosophers for thousands of years. Why do we suffer? Is there an overall purpose to our existence? Is there any truth to the phenomenon of reincarnation? What are ghosts? Are there angels? Gods? Is someone watching over me right now? Where did this all come from, and where is it all going?
Perhaps you thought you were going to read another chronicle of interesting OBE experiences and "lessons on life"? Some warm-fuzzy stories about guardian angels and things happening for a reason?
