Book Review: Amazing Guide to Your Evolution

I just got this from the library a couple of a weeks ago after deciding to do an inner treat -- as in seclusion, becoming unavailable socially, to heal emotionally, aurically and physically as well. This book was a most delightful find -- I felt like I stumbled across water in a parched desert, feeling "as the deer panteth for the water so my soul longeth for thee...". Every sentence in this book requires me to think vs just scan over quickly, and it serves as an excellent road map to the destination of Enlightenment. Meanwhile, I can tell which level I'm at in the journey, which is very helpful information if you are a seeker of freeing yourself from the identification of this earthly incarnation, thus from the cycles of reincarnation on earth (doesn't it get old?). However, I believe those of us who are still learning to become non-attached can periodically go thru all the levels starting at the base, and then you work your way back up until you learn to get a handle on how you respond and know how to maintain your bliss or whatever level you're at. The best thing about this book: It's meat for the soul, not pop-soda and candy spirituality, which are simplistically-written if not melodramatically, books that tend to repeat themselves over and over thru out the chapters, for lack of better material.

It expands the understanding of the levels of consciousness as presented in the now widely-known Map of Consciousness. This book focuses on the individual and studies the experiential subjective blocks to the advancement of consciousness that leads to progressive spiritual awareness and on to higher levels of consciousness preparatory to advanced states such as Enlightenment itself. By analyzing the various obstacles and levels to be transcended, certain principles that support spiritual evolution are self-revealing.
