I wasn't real sure I really wanted to read this book, I get tired of hearing the sad drug stories these comedians want to share with us. However, this book touched me in a way I can barely explain. Artie's relationship with his father is so beautiful, and the love he has for his mother and sister is heartwarming. I wish Artie would get the help he needs to get off the drugs forever. I love this book and will reread it and I am going to buy another copy for my son on his birthday.Book Review: Is he is the Hemingway of our Generation???

Just finished an almost masterpiece by a new and exciting american writer. This book written in a prose as yet unseen harkens back to Mailer's debut in the 40's. I mean he is just great. Don't just pick it up and read it...devour it. This book is not only for the slobs out there who listen to Artie..but also for true literary lovers. I already am gettin my cop leatherized to put next to Moby Dick and the Old Man and the Sea on the shelf. This is a classic. This is a great book. Artie lange's life is an amazing story. Even if you are not a stern fan or think the show is obscene or you are an avid listener this book is a great read. It is written as if you and a bunch of buddies are sitting around reminiscing about the past. It really gives you an in depth look into Artie's life, from his humble beginnings in Jersey, to his drug addition(s) to his current success. This is just a great story and book! One of the best Autobiography type books on a person i have ever read. So much emotion. One second your laughing so hard you've just pissed yourself and 5 pages later your crying like a baby!
What a wonderful experience! Buy It. Enjoy it. Love it. Its an amazing book that chronicals the events of one Fat Funny Man. Artie Lange!
If I had the option to give this book 10 stars I would. To be honest i give very tough reviews.
