Book Reviews of Too Big for Diapers (Sesame Street) (Sesame Steps)Book Review: Ok to Talk About All of It Summary: 5 Stars
My 3-year-old loves Ernie so this is a big plus from the very start. I especially enjoy the book because it specifically talks about pee and poop, and that's ok to talk about with your child and to allow him to talk about it with you. I love the fact that it teaches kids to wash their hands with soap. Ernie teaches good, safe and natural potty training. We love it. For other preschool routines and challenges, we recommend Mommy CEO, a family and health book. They are incredible together.
Book Review: Enticing Summary: 5 Stars
My son was around 18 months when we got this book for him and it caught his eye right away because of Ernie! He had seemed interested in the potty and this was just the book to help him get aquainted with it. Leave it to Sesame Street to make the introduction seemless! He still is not using the potty on a normal basis, but now he isn't shying away from it every time we go into the bathroom. I highly recommend it to any Sesame Street fan reaching the "potty age!"
Book Review: Great introduction to potty training Summary: 5 Stars
This book has been a great introduction for potty training. It is very simple and easy to follow -- Ernie is playing, he feels like he needs to go pee, and he uses the potty successfully. My son is familiar with Ernie from Sesame Street, so he enjoys the book regardless of the topic. After reading it several times, he's starting to understand the concept of being too big for diapers. We're in the early stages of potty training, but this was a great introduction.
Book Review: Perfect for the Sesame Street character lover Summary: 5 Stars
My 21-month-old really loves this book. She is not yet trained, but this book was a great help in introducing her to the new plastic potty that appeared in our bathroom. Right off the bat she figured out that only babies wear diapers (like Baby Ernie). And she seems to relate to what Ernie is going through, playing with his blocks, taking off his pants, sitting on the potty. I would recommend this for kids who like Sesame Street. Bert's in it, too.
Book Review: GREAT BUT WISH IT WERE ELMO Summary: 5 Stars
This wonderful little Sesame Street book takes you on a step by step story as baby Ernie uses the potty all by himself for the first time. It's a cute little book and easily understandable by young ones. It definitely motivated mine to start using the potty. The only very MINOR complaint is that I wish the book featured Elmo since that is my son's favorite Sesame Street character. Nicely done. Well written for toddlers and parents.
