Book Reviews of Third Degree: A NovelBook Review: not motivated to read Greg Iles again Summary: 2 Stars
I read Third Degree because a coworker shoved it into my hands. It was interesting enough to read without falling asleep, but the more I read, the more stupid the characters got. They're all frivolous and self-absorbed. The whole story was very far-fetched. It might make a good Lifetime movie some day. I will admit that for a story to be that bad, the ending was actually quite good. However, this was my first Greg Iles book. I've heard good things about Devil's Punchbowl. I will try that, but if it's just as bad, I'm sorry Mr. Iles but never again.
Book Review: Disappointing Summary: 2 Stars
I was pretty shocked during and after this book. This is, by far, his worst work.
I found myself in an eternal wait for a punchline that was never delivered. This is very unlike Iles. It almost seems as if someone else wrote the book.
I have read and loved all of his prior books. That is why this one is such a shock to me.There is nothing of substance here. I hope he can learn from this mistake.
Book Review: Unbelievable Summary: 2 Stars
I am a big fan of Greg's books.I own and have read every book he has written. This book however was not very good. The plot was fine, but you really need to suspend reality to believe the various twists and turns.Just not realistic.Because of this the book tends to drag in places.I normally read his books in one or two nights, this one took 5.Hope is next is better
Book Review: Skip this one Summary: 2 Stars
After reading the first 200 pages, I was close to giving up on this book. ALL of the characters are unlikeable so I didn't care what happened to them. The last half of the book was a little better but the plot was too unbelievable.
Book Review: Could of been much shorter Summary: 2 Stars
This book is about 200 pages to long. Not only was the book to long, the story was not that compelling. Didn't really care about any of the characters.
