David Pollock and Ruth E. Van Reken have not only shared theirexperinces that are so unique but they have also shared outstandingresearches that they have done to raise the kids outside the home culture.I find the book interesting for non American couples who chose to come to the US as well. Their experiences in bringing up children in a culture so different from theirs can get a boost from this book as well.
Soon everybody will be living in some other place and this is not a prophecy. The ability to coup or understand the values of different cultures will give children who are born away from home, a head start in various fields in their future.
I want to add a cute little book of fairy tales which emphasizes on contributions of many countires to the civilization. The title is Humpty Dumpty Sat on the Globe witten by Fereydoun Kian and it's a nice companion to this one. Both books are written for parents and kids who develop the appreciation for a global cultures.
