Book Review: One critical flaw makes me say "Don't buy this book!"

I was impressed with other books in this series, so I selected it to help my 12 year old son learn more about music theory.

Imagine my shock when I learned that the book had one critical design flaw that makes it almost completely useless as an instructional tool:

EVERY WORKSHEET FOR THE STUDENTS HAS THE ANSWERS TO THE PROBLEMS PRINTED ON THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE WORKSHEET.

That's right. When a student is filling out a worksheet to review the principles of that section, each answer to the questions is printed on that very same page, on the bottom half, upside down.

Can you just cut the page in half and remove the part with the answers? No. There is lesson material on the other side of the page. Can you just xerox the page? Sure, but it's not a standard size, and should you really have to?

Frankly, I'm surprised such a poor design choice made it through the editing process. The answers should appear in a separate (removable) section in the back of the book, or not at all. Or it shouldn't be a workbook in the first place. Thank goodness it was only $10.
