This book has a lot going for it. Interesting, funny writing, cool characters and good interplay between them. The third person plural narrative gives an ambiguious, shifting perspective that depends on the reader's state.
I would tend to agree about another reader's statement about lack of heart. Sort of reminds me of Douglas Coupland's JPOD. Hilarious, cool, and lacking in that resonance that comes from feeling a connection with the main character, linking it to something in your life. I can definitely link "..to the End" to my life, as I work in an office with cubes, etc. But I'm talking about empathy with what someone goes through and feeling it in your heart. The interlude of first person narrative with Lynne does it for a while.
Sooo, get this book, enjoy it for what it is. Well worth it. I just hope Ferris grows into a little more emotional connection that is needed for a great novel. I think he has a great future and an excellent first book. I'm already waiting for the next one..
