Book Reviews of The Yankee YearsBook Review: Awesome! Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this book for Christmas Present for family member. All of us have been Yankee Fans for years. I read the insert and part of the book. I know it is a must read for any Yankee Fan! I feel that it is especially important for those fans who enjoyed Joe Torre when he was manager of the Yankees. In my opinion he is as much a part of NY as the Donald Trump only better. It was a sad day when he left.
Book Review: The Yankee Years Summary: 5 Stars
Although it appears by the title to be a recap of Joe Torre's years as yankee manager, it is actually a great book on the state of baseball that covers his 12 years in New York. It is co-written by Tom Verducci and reflects a great deal of his observations of covering baseball for the last 25 years. It is a good read on the state of the game and particularly managing the Yankees in NY.
Book Review: Great book Summary: 5 Stars
I'm not sure what the big fuss was over Joe breaking the clubhouse code. This was a great book with a great insight on the New York Yankees during his 12 years as Skip. It brought back great memories (I'm a Yankees fan), but it also brought back the not so great memories.
THe book puts into prespective alot of the things I thought were wrong with the Yankees after 2001
Book Review: Joe Torre's best effort Summary: 5 Stars
I loved the Yankee Years. It was one of those "cannot put it down books". Torre gives such wonderful insights into the workings of the Yankee organization, the dealings behind the scene for these big ticket players and how the dynamics of the team changed from the miracle team of 1998.
For anyone who loves baseball, this is a Must Read!
Book Review: Wow Been Waiting For This One!! Summary: 5 Stars
First of all I love Joe Torre and I am a Yankees fan. I got hooked when I went to college there. It has many insights, some about human nature, many about the great American game. The New York Post made it a lot worse than it should have been and I don't think it is a bitter book. Give it a read as this Hawaiian gal highly recommends it!
