Book Reviews of The Woods

Book Review: Grips you from the start and won't let go
Summary: 5 Stars

This is truly a page-turner of a novel. Very well-written (in the usual excellent Harlan Coben style) and intense. The truth is revealed slowly and succintly and the progression is forthright and on target. I did not figure it all out, even at the surprising twist at the end, I was struck by how it all came together. I read this book in less than a day and the characters to me came alive, especially crazy Ira. I highly recommend this book and I think you will get as totally involved in it as I was. The dialogue is crisp, witty and intelligent. 5 stars from me. Bravo, Mr. Coben.

Book Review: Harlan Coben-Still The Master of The Thriller
Summary: 5 Stars

This is another one of Coben's books that will suck you in and not let you go until the very last page. It was not quite at the level of Gone For Good, but what is? He used a familiar theme of missing person, but the story is different from Tell No One or Gone For Good. The plot still works wonderfully. I think in this book he creates even better characters that the reader pulls for. You know that whenever you read a Harlan Coben book that you will be up all night reading it and highly entertained even in an emotional way. This one is no exception, The Woods is worth of 5 stars.

Book Review: Supurb!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Supurb!!! The plot unfolds like peeling an onion. Each time you think that you have uncovered the truth, another layer remains to be removed. Some of the clues are instantly obvious to an astute reader, but this usually just adds to the tension. The story reverbrates in the mind long after reaching the end, and makes a very powerful argument for the death penalty.
The only unlikeable part of the novel was the author's use of "out-sailing-with-mummy-locks" to describe hair. Don't email the author asking about it, because he will refuse to explain. moh 0911110410

Book Review: Harlan is amazing
Summary: 5 Stars

At my age, where has Harlan Coben been all my life? Why have I missed this wonderful author? This book is one of the best I have ever read. Chubby Checker and his "Twist," has nothing on the twists, turns, lies and deceit that Coben comes up with in this story. It continues to grab you from the first page right up to the last, and I am still not sure what will happen next, even after the book is finished. This is one I would highly recommend. I am off to the bookstore, to find another one of his great books, as I am hooked. WOW!!!!!!

Book Review: Incredible! Interesting! and Inventive!
Summary: 5 Stars

WARNING: This book may cause you to lose sleep, ignore your responsibilities, and slack off at work until you finish it. "The Woods" was impossible to put down. It was one of those books that you just had to know what happens and you can't wait to find out. The story of Paul Copeland and the mysteries that he solves will make you feel like you're right there with him, you'll be theorizing and guessing about what you think happened. This book was incredible! I would highly recommend it!
