After I read "Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo" I have been awaiting the sequel to it. Obert Skye has such a fun writing style. He can make you giggle out loud, and he keeps you waiting for the next thing to happen.
In "Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo", Leven learns of Foo (the land where dreams are made up) is about to be submerged with reality by Sabine (the evil tyrant of Foo). This is where Leven discovers that the destine of Foo rests in his hands, along with several companions: Geth who is the rightful leader of Foo but is trapped in a toothpick; Clover a fury little creature that helps and guides Leven; and Winter who can manipulate water.
The book "Leven Thumps and the Whispered Secret" starts right where the first book left off. Leven has gone through the gateway of Foo and destroyed it along with Sabine. He soon finds out that Foo (no matter how beautiful it is) holds no peace for him. Sabine might have been destroyed in reality, but all of his dark followers are determined to carry out his dream of combining the two worlds. Sabine's followers are trying their hardest to find and kill them.
Many challenges occur to Leven and his group. Leven and Clover gets stuck in the Swollen Forest where an unknown secret is chasing them. Geth must be restored to his original state before he hardens and becomes a toothpick forever. Then Winter has to escape from Sabine's followers and find the others along with finding herself.
In the first book, you were able to have a concept of Foo. The ". . .Whispered Secret" lets you live it. With every page comes a new obstacle that must be over come. You get sucked into the excitement and find yourself cheering out loud has you read along. I recommend this book to anyone who loves fantasy or a good adventure.

You must be ready to join Leven Thumps, Clover Ernest, and Winter Frore as they journey across Foo to free Geth from his existence as a toothpick and restore him as the rightful heir to the throne. It won't be easy. Foo is in chaos, and Leven must overcome several adversaries and survive the Swollen Forest to save his friends and keep hope alive. As fate would have it, bad goes to worse when Leven digs up a buried secret -- one that stalks him, determined to whisper a truth that could be deadly in the wrong hands.
