Book Reviews of The Wave (Laurel-Leaf contemporary fiction)Book Review: Terrific for young adults (8th grade and up) Summary: 5 Stars
I teach 8th graders about the Holocaust. Many do not initially understand why so many people could have been persuaded to follow Hitler's horrific ideology. The Wave is a wonderful story that illustrates without preaching how easily individuals can surrender their ideas for the greater "ideal."
Book Review: The Wave was the BEST book I have ever 5 Stars
I read The Wave in my honors reading class. I really enjoyed this book because I liked learning about the Holocaust. Throughout the book I learned how the Jews must have felt and the actions that took place against them. I thought that the book was a good way to teach students about the Holocaust.
Book Review: A great book...I couldn't put it down!!! Summary: 5 Stars
This was one of the most interesting books I have read in awhile. I could not put it down! It is amazing that this is based upon a true story. It's almost frightening to see into the minds of the students and what they will do to "fit-in". A must read for all teachers and students alike!
Book Review: I think The Wave is good. Summary: 5 Stars
I'm a ninth grader and my English class had to read this book. It was a little boring at first but after the Wave movement started, it got exciting. I think every ninth grade English class should read it. It has a great message - history can repeat itself; don't let anyone control you.
Book Review: You would never expect the outcome Summary: 5 Stars
The book starts out great, and just keeps going. It is hard to put down, once you start. It is a great book for learning a little about World War 2. Or you can read it if you are studying WWII. Or...you can just read it any time you want to. I would reccomend this book to everyone!
