Book Reviews of The Wave (Laurel-Leaf contemporary fiction)

Book Review: The wave a great book
Summary: 5 Stars

Todd Strasser is a great author. He has writing a few of my favorite books. The wave is my recent addition to my favorite list. The wave is a good book that is about a class teacher who conducts an experiment after the class had watched a movie about the Nazis. The wave taught me that just because someone is in a position of authority does not mean that I have to trust or believe in there actions. At times this book was slow but I would suggest it as a definite read

Book Review: An answer to the question asked about any war: "HOW" !
Summary: 5 Stars

I am an 8th grade student who read the book "The Wave" as a school assignment. Finally, a children's author gives a clearer answer to the question all kids have about the Holocaust: "How could people be so stupid and so easily brainwashed?" Thank you for explaining the unexplainable, Mr. Strasser. P.S. If anyone reading this has any other information about Todd Strasser or about his motivation for writing this book, please let me know!

Book Review: Another Great Work
Summary: 5 Stars

I thought this book was great. I have read many of Todd Strassers books and liked all of them but this one is by far my favorite. I thought it was nice for a change to read about a true story that kept you on your toes and interested.Overall this is one of my favorite books of all time. It got right to the good parts and didn't waste time giving a lot of useless information. I would enjoy it if Mr. Strasser did another non-fiction work.

Book Review: Wave,The
Summary: 5 Stars

Strenghth through acion, Strenghth through dicipline, Strenghth through community. These are three of the impowering phrases that help "The Wave" as strong as it became. The reference to Nazis and cults helped me gain perspective on how "The Wave" was a power hungry, minipulating group. This excellent book helped me understand how the nazis could let there friends be persicuted and pretend that nothing is happining.

Book Review: High Impact
Summary: 5 Stars

I read this book many years ago when I was in High School, however, I have never forgotton it. It has an extremely frightening message which is fluidly conveyed by the author. It is without doubt one of the books which I want my children to read in order for them to realise exactly how important individuality and self confidence are, and how easy it is to be seduced. or pressured into a group mentality.
