Book Reviews of The WarriorsBook Review: "Can U dig it,... ?!!!" Summary: 5 Stars
Although much of the attention surrounding this novel comes from its film adaption, Walter Hill's stylized, surreal street gang epic, Sol Yurick's original novel is well worth a read, finally in print after decades!!! While Hill's film was very much an action adventure fest, this novel is a grim tale of how street gangs spawned in the extreme poverty in New York's worst neighborhoods, descriptions of housing project life, urban violence, this isn't a story of heroes and villains like the movie was. Based on Xenophon's Anabasis, this story follows a Coney Island street gang in its miles-long trek across the urban wasteland, just to make it home. A great novel, great movie...can u dig it?....
Book Review: Old School Flavor and Bravery. Summary: 5 Stars
This book is fiction but it used to go down like this in real life. Once upon a time, in the recent past, gangs would actualy fight and not just shoot and run. The Warriors were a multi racial gang and their leader / shot caller was one bad white dude. After being wrongfully blamed for puting a hit on a heavy weight gang boss, the Warriors are targeted. Far away from their own territory, they have to make it back to the safety of their "Set," or turf, when the news of the Warriors deed hits the streets. They have to travel through every, Varrio, Set, Hood, Burro and enemy turf back to their own and it is acton packed. The book starts fast and ends fast with a great ending.

Book Review: The Warriors - Brutal Violent an R rated MUST READ! Summary: 5 Stars
So I bought the game for ps2 having never heard of it but thinking 'this looks good'
Anything 70s cult or camp appeals to me.
Then I bought the movie, then I found out there was a book!
The movie is one of my all time favourite movies AND games.
The book is the origin of its idea.
The book is violent, brutal, filled with rape and extreme ultra violent crimes. The 'coney island dominators' (name the Warriors in the movie)
are ruthless.
I recommend this book to ANY fan of the movie.
Warning = extremely violent. Extremely hard to put down!
Book Review: great movie... more voilent than the movie Summary: 5 Stars
if youve seen the movie, youll probably have mixed feelings on this book. it is similar to the movie in some ways but also very different. the book is about a gang of kids that find themseves far away from thier home "turf". then have to fight thier way back across the city. the book is quite voilent as there is a pretty bad rape scene in it.
