Book Reviews of The Walt Disney World Trivia Book, Volume 1: Secrets, History & Fun Facts Behind the MagicBook Review: Great fun! Summary: 5 StarsHad a great time reading and "playing" along with this book. Lots of interesting fun facts about Walt Disney World. This will make my next trip to Disney that much more fun now knowing some of the Secrets, History & Fun Facts Behind the Magic.
Book Review: A must have for all WDW lovers! Summary: 5 StarsThis book is full of wonderful trivia and information! I have been going to WDW my entire life and there was still so much information packed into this book that I never knew! If you love WDW, you MUST purchase this book!
Book Review: Quiz Format is Inconvenient Summary: 3 StarsThis book has all sorts of trivia points about Disney World, but they are all in a quiz format. Each chapter (broken out by theme parks and resorts) starts with about 100 multiple-choice questions, and then the answers follow in a sub-chapter. You can read just the answers, but the topic is not always clear without the context of the question (which is not re-stated for the answers). I would have preferred a simple listing of trivia items. The questions just add bulk to make the book seem bigger than it is. Next time, I'll just visit the numerous web sites that hold the same information.
Book Review: Fun Book! Summary: 5 StarsThis is a great book if you want to know a little more about Walt Disney World! I finished it in a couple days! I'm gearing up for a trip to WDW. I can't wait for the sequal to come out(any day now!)
Book Review: Phenomenal! Summary: 5 StarsThis book is just such a fun read! Though I consider myself a bit of a Disney aficionado, I still learned a lot from some of the facts in the book.
The format is great -- not only is there a standard multiple choice format, but there are many answers that have thorough explanations and in-depth information about lesser known Disney trivia. Also, there's a good balance between the obvious and the obscure, allowing those with no Mickey knowledge and those with an endless supply to enjoy the book. There are questions that young ones can answer and others to keep parents interested.
I love that the book is broken into sections by 'genre' -- notably by park. I plan on taking it with me with two young cousins to help pass time in the queue, and to have questions relating directly to where they will be can help them visualize and look for specific aspects of the park.
Just a great book and a lot of fun to read!
