Book Reviews of The Vitamin D CureBook Review: More of a diet book! Summary: 1 Stars
I'm a big believer in vitamin D. After reading numerous articles and several books on vitamin D, it's pretty clear to me that foods are a poor source of vitamin D. While reading this book, at one point I thought I was reading a diet book, and not a vitamin D book. If you want to read a diet book there are some excellent books out there. I'm surprised this book is even titled Vitamin D cure. In my opinion this title is misleading. Vitamin D is helpful in the prevention as well as treatment of a number of diseases such as cancer, diabetes and heart disease but it does not cure them.
Vitamin D is not a vitamin but a hormone, and is extremely important for the health of every organ system in our body. "Power of Vitamin D" is a book written by a hormone specialist (an endocrinologist) Dr. Sarfraz Zaidi that I found to be an excellent book on the subject. It has helped me a lot and I strongly recommend it to any one who wants to learn about vitamin D.
Book Review: Not as informative as expected Summary: 1 Stars
if you have come across with megadose vitamin therapies, you will understand that the writer (physician of orthodox medicine) is only willing to step forward a little bit to try a little bit higher dose for the vitamin D only. as for other vitamins, his views still remain the same like other physicians. some of the informations in the book are wrong or misleading!
