Book Review: My new favorite "Atlantis" tale. A Winning read!!!

The Vampire's Bride is a story of the vampire King Layel, who has spent the last 200 years in acts of vengeance related to the death of his mate at the hand of the dragons. Layel who is tormented over his past, meets his match in Amazon warrior Delilah, who is not only beautiful but can bring Layel to his knees...literally! The two, along with pairs of other powerful mythical Atlantians are brought together against their wills outside Atlantis where they compete in Survivor-like challenges that five temperamental Greek god's have made up. Unfortunately, the loser of each challenge is executed. Layel and Delilah take on the fight of their lives and have many hurdles to overcome but are repeatedly drawn together despite being on opposing "teams" that the god's have put together. Multiple characters from Vampires that you wouldn't mind taking a nice long bite from you; hunky Nymphs whom survive off sex; fierce Dragon warriors that make you say "yummy"; and Demons that would sway you straight into their arms; and others, all make appearances with each character bringing together a great read. Gena Showalter has become one of my favorite authors with tales that make you laugh your butt off as well as sigh in pleasure at the hot romance. The Vampire's Bride, is book number three in the Atlantis series and Layel was a character we met in the preceding books. The Vampire's Bride can be a stand alone read, but I believe that the reader would not want to miss out on the enjoyment of the other Atlantis tales that previously made me a fan of Gena Showalter. I eagerly await her next book!
