Book Review: My Favorite Hawaii Travel Books!!
Summary: 5 Stars
Even when I lived in Hawaii I would used these books when vacationing on neighboring islands. Best details, pictures, maps and very easy to read. Updates are available online and books change I think yearly so make sure to get a new copy or some attractions could be closed or become dangerous. I give copies of these books to my friends traveling to Hawaii every chance I get. (note: books are not well liked by the 'locals' since they give away some great local's only spots.)Book Review: While imperfect, still the best Kauai guide.

Readable, useful, honest. His taste can be a bit questionable at times. But 95% of the time he is right on the mark for the best food, beaches, and activities. After going to a couple of the top-rated restaurants we thought, "Is this REALLY a restaurant we can't miss?" I'm sure glad I bought it and brought it with me. Our trip would have been miserable without it. We would have been completely lost otherwise. Thanks for such a fantastic book, brah.Book Review: The Ultimate Kauai Guidebook is ULTIMATE!

Although we have visited Kauai on several occasions, this guidebook is still extremely helpful and informative! We enjoy all the favorite dining reviews and suggestions - except the PAU HANA BAR & GRILL was not in the book and we found their fish and chips to be the best on the island (even if their customer service skills are lacking)! This guidebook covers everything one would need/want to know whether a novice or an expert to Kauai!Book Review: Kauai the REAL adventure

The best detailed guide for the island! It was our Bible! The only sad part, is some of the places have closed due to the poor economy. But, a few new places have sprung up and if they last will be in the next review... I am sure of it! Overall, use the book to get in the car and explore, but be sure to ask the locals if you need help...they are very helpful! This book is truly the ULTIMATE guide. After using Andrew Doughty Maui Revealed, I just knew I would want Kauai Revealed as these books are a wealth of information. If you really want to experience the islands these books are a must have. You don't want to go to the islands without these books. You will miss all of the little hidden away treasures. Better than a GPS for finding the true beauty of the islands.
