Book Reviews of The Twilight Saga Collection

Book Review: A MUST READ If You Love The Movies
Summary: 5 Stars

When I first saw the Twilight movie on dvd, I had liked it enough to want to read the actual book to see what all the hype in the press was about. So I took out the first two books, Twilight and New Moon, from my neighborhood library only to become so engrossed in the whole story that I plowed through the two books like a ravenous maniac and had to soon go back and take out Eclipse and Breaking Dawn thereafter. And no, it absolutely didn't matter to me that some critics had trashed the books and the author's writing skills... All that mattered to me was that I had absolutely enjoyed reading all four of the books. THE BOOKS ARE A HUNDRED TIMES BETTER THAN THE MOVIES!!!! (Well, better than the Twilight and the New Moon movies any way, since Eclipse and Breaking Dawn have yet to be released). I read all four books within the course of a week, which for me, speaks for itself, being married with children and working a full time job outside of the house. Needless to say, I loved the books so much that I absolutely had to have the boxed set. I had searched all over the web for the best price which I found be here on Amazon, which also happened to offer free shipping. The package came a few days before they had estimated and I received the boxed book set in perfect condition. I am extremely pleased with this Amazon purchase. Do not hesitate in buying this product if you love the books.

Book Review: Sweet and Intoxication!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Actually I never heard about this saga before and yes I am not a big fan of the vampire thing though. Eventhough I give it a try because I am really interested in the movie trailer and the release date is too far to wait.

I went to the bookstore got the box set on Tuesday evening and let say that I couldn't put it down and I was breezed through the whole set within 36 hours striaght.

I really like the last book "Breaking Dawn" much more than the first "Twilight". The story has been progress to the point that I feel that, Bella and Jacob, both have been grew up right before my eyes. I am not saying that the other books were not good but I do like the first and the last best.

And for the Box Set, I think it is a bonus for all the collector. For my personal reading style, I love hardcover book most. The covers that print on the each side of the box were added the charm to the collection (I heard that the fans didn't like the last cover "The White Queen" and "The Red Pawn" but I do like it. I think it would have some meaning behind it and depend on each of the reader will interpreted the meaning. I won't tell mine. ;P)

Recommended to everyone. These books really not only for teen but for everyone in the family. For me, it's not only the perfect love, it's more like loyalty to family, friends and lot more.

Book Review: Not Appropriate for Tweens - Excellent for 18+
Summary: 5 Stars

I ordered this set because I observed several of my Fifth Graders reading the first book in this series. "Twilight" was so good that I was thrilled that I purchased the complete set. I read all four books in about seven days, and I work overtime.

While I greatly relished this series, I found the content to be increasingly mature for my ten and eleven year old students. "Breaking Dawn" actually contains sexual references, presented very tastefully and within the bonds of marriage. However, as an intermediate school teacher, I would not even consider placing "Breaking Dawn" in my classroom library. My students are already much to sexually aware for my comfort; I do not want to supply them with material that further increase their curiosity for what Bella and Edward "can't seem get enough of."

For adults, I highly recommend it. However, I strongly advise parents of pre-teens to be more aware of the content their children are reading. Not all "popular" books are appropriate for all audiences. Parents should pre-read and decide for their child.

I took the time to write this review because the vast majority of my students' parents do not have time to read epic novels. As a reading teacher, I take the time. I consider it a part of my job; one of my favorite parts. I hope I have helped someone who could not take the time.

Book Review: Amazing Series
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased the Twilight series after reading excerpts of each book from the author's website. I was also intrigued by all the hype of how good the series was from friends. I expected a reasonably good read but I had no idea I would be so enthralled. I literally could not put the books down. Once I started one, I used every spare moment to read it from cover to cover.

They are a very easy read but absolutely engrossing. I work full time and have a family but I was able to consume the 4-book series in about two weeks. I've read comments and reviews that criticize the author's writing ability, and I am not a book connoisseur, but I feel that Stephenie Meyer wrote so vividly that I could literally 'see' her characters and events as I read them. That is the aspect of the series that made me obsessed with reading the next paragraph, the next page to find out what happens next.

I have raved about this series to so many people. And although my 12-year old son is only reading New Moon because I chose this book as his summer reading project, and he's seen the movie Twilight, I can see that he is interested in the plot line and that the reading intrigues him enough that he recalls the details and characters and dialogue when I ask him about it after. That alone would have sold me if I had not read the books themselves.

Book Review: excited

I waited to order my book set til after the Holiday's because I asked for them for Christmas and wanted to make sure I didn't get doubles. Well, when I logged on to Amazon and saw that the wait time was 4 to 7 weeks for shipment, and that I could expect my books between Feb. 17 and March something, I ALMOST didn't buy them, I figured it would take less time and be easier to go to Walden or Barnes and Noble and get each indivdual copy. I loved the fact that it was a boxed set so I ordered it anyways, and was prepared to borrow a friends copy whenever I was ready to re-read. I also read reviews AFTER i bought the books and saw that some people had issues with their books being bound upside down, the collection boxes being destroyed during shipping, or print being slanted, It made me nervous.
Well, I got an email on January 6th stating my order had been shipped with no special shipping (I figured if I had to wait til March, what is a few extra days for free shipping) and got my books in the mail yesterday (1/9) I haven't gone page by page yet, but I flipped through each book and everything looks great. The pages on Eclipse are a little... rough (?) when the book is closed. I mean, textured, not smooth, but its nothing unbearable. I love my books and was pleasently surprised that It didn't take 2 months to get them like it should have!
