Book Review: Mom of 3 Now Hooked on Twilight After Reading the Saga Collection
Summary: 5 Stars
The collection was more enjoyable than anticipated. It was difficult to put the books down. I read the collection in one week - in addition to working, 3 kids plus their activities, and a husband.
Stephenie Meyer kept surprising me with her balanced variety of ideas I didn't see coming. She "dangles the carrot" while she walks you through complicated relationships with impossible circumstances, romance, adventure, danger, sadness, list goes on. After finishing the collection, I understood why all the characters responded the way they did throughout the saga. There were alot of, "oh, I get it now" moments. I went back in my mind from the beginning to play the entire story like a movie. I'll be reading the collection again now that I know "the rest of the story."
I'm letting my children read the books and talking them through the non-fiction vs. fiction. They are "safe" books because they promote no sex before marriage, clean dating with normal teenage hormones, clean living, responsibility for family and those around you, self-sacrifice, betterment for the common good, adapting to surroundings when you don't fit in, how to work through difficult relationships instead of running away, reliance on each other, completing each other in a relationship to make a stronger unit, and promotion of strong sense of self - vampire or human. I didn't appreciate the bad language at times, but unfortunately it's nothing different than what the kids hear in their world day to day.
Book Review: Hate Love Relationship with Twilight

I was very skeptical with the whole Twilight phenomenon, then one of my friends begged me to just give it a shot. So I finally went online and checked out Amazon's "look inside the book" feature. Before I knew it, I had already read the first 2 chapters, and came to the end of Amazon's preview. I was so into the story that I got up and went to the store to buy the book -- mind you, this was at midnight and I was already in bed.
Throughout the book, I hated and loved it. As I read, I complained and thought the story was so cheesy, yet I couldn't put the book down. I kept on reading and had opinions - good or bad - I still had an opinion about each character and story line. I then developed a relationship with each character, a feeling of pity, sadness, happiness, confusion, and even hatred with each.
To have all these feelings evoked from a book, that must be a good book, whether I like the story or not. I know this book is geared towards teens, and I'm not. I am also not into Vampires nor romance novels, yet somehow I love the Twilight saga. I give credit and much appreciation to Stephenie Meyer because it is her writing technique that really captures you. Her talent to woo you and indulge you into the story, even when it's not your "cup of tea" is amazing.
This is a great set, especially for the price. I recommend this saga to anyone, whether you're skeptical about it, or even annoyed at the whole phenomenon. You never know, you might just get sucked into it, like the rest of us.
Book Review: Absolutely 5 Stars
These books are Absolutely Amazing!!!!!!!!! I am the mother of three teenage daughters...I bought this boxed set for my 15 year old daughter Nicole for Christmas. They sat on her shelf for a couple of months until her sister Angela came home for Spring Break in March and said "Hey, didn't you get Nicole the Twilight Saga for Christmas?" and asked to read them. WELL THAT WAS IT!!!!!!! Angela read Twilight in a day, Nicole read it next then I started reading them. Once you start...it's impossible to stop! I got so impatient waiting for them to finish that I ordered another set here on Amazon.com for myself! I finished all four books in a week. Being that I work full time that certainly didn't leave much time for anything else. I basically didn't eat or sleep...I lost 5 pounds that week. Of course my husband was totally bewildered with our fascination...he can't read more than 15 minutes without falling asleep. I'm one of the TWILIGHT people! I'm so glad that I didn't get hooked until the saga was complete. I can't imagine having to wait for the next book. I did of course go on StephanieMeyer.com and read her incomplete Midnight Sun, which is basically Twilight from Edward's perspective...Ahh Edward...talk about the epitomy of perfection. Must be the most exquisite character ever imagined...too bad he isn't real! A Special Thank You to Stephanie for sharing with the rest of the world her creativity and imagination...would love to have seen that dream that started it all...must have been really amazing!Book Review: Could not stop reading until I read them all!!!

I saw Twilight the movie first and on a whim I bought Twilight the book in paperback. I had heard alot about how teenage girls and their mothers loved this series and why, and though I do not go for teen stories, I decided to check this out. After I read Twilight and realized that I enjoyed the story, it was not long (not even a week later) that I was out buying the second book New Moon and days later I was ordering online Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. The story arc draws you in and captures you to the point where you can not put the books down wanting to know what is going to happen next and whether Bella and Edward make it together as a couple and to see how they get through all the hurtles that are thrown their way by the antagonists within the story (who by the way are so interesting on their own that you want to know more about them and the world of Stephanie Meyer's vampires and their evolution). Suffice it to say, by the time I finished reading this series I felt bereft that there was no more books and that the series and come to its end. Very rarely do you find a series that is so engrossing. I love vampire stories and have read quite a few fiction novels about vampires ... though I have heard alot of criticism about why the vampires of Stephanie Meyer's world stay out of sunlight, over all it is a small aspect of this series which can be easily overlooked. The characters and the storyline and the vampirac history sustain this series so well that there is no doubt why it is so successful.Book Review: Great Gift For Lovers of The Series

I thought nothing of Twilight when I first heard of the movie from my girlfriend and then the books. I was not interested because the moment she said it is vampire related (she love vampires) I close my mind and stop listening because it would be nothing but another regular vampire movie.
I first saw it on DVD, months after being released in theaters and I have seen it more than 5 times already. Stephenie Meyer did a great job on creating some of the most unique vampire characters. After seeing the movie I just know that the book would be more interesting, detailed and more felt as Edward and Bella spoke of their desires for each other.
I bought these books for my girlfriend and I am now competing with Edward for quality time or maybe it's Jacob (I think Edward has the edge). This story is great and I have caught the fever from this series. It's been a long time since I found a book I can sit and enjoy with something different; and this is it (even though I wasn't really searching for one). Eclipse is now in theaters and I saw it the moment it was released, there's no way I am going to wait for DVD release and miss out on this work of art.
The books are shipped with a case and four collectable pictures with quotes from the book on the back. I definitely recommend this saga to anyone who is looking for a general read or just a fan of the series. I guarantee you will not be disappointed with this selection, and, of course, your girl will love you for it.
