Book Reviews of The Twilight Saga Collection

Book Review: The most amazing books I've ever read in my life!
Summary: 5 Stars

I didn't even know what Twiight was until the hype started with the movie. I broke down and went to see it. I thought a romantic vampire story couldn't be too bad. I really liked the movie a lot and completely swooned for Edward and Bella. I was hesitant to read the books because I never read one after seeing the movie, but I picked up Twilight in February and read it with lightening speed. I finally understood what the "addiction" was all about. The book explained little things that I didn't really catch in the movie. It was amazing and even more wonderful than the movie which I didn't think was possible. I cried my eyes out during New Moon and read it in 3 days because I couldn't wait for the reunion scene which was well worth it. Eclipse was awesome with a lot more action (romance and violence), and I was happy and relieved when Bella finally chose Edward! Lastly, I thought Breaking Dawn was the best book by far. The wedding was so romantic, then Bella's transition into a vampire was so incredible. I also fell in love with Nessie, and I was ecstatic that she brought everyone together. I was amazed and thorougly enjoyed every single chapter of all four books. It's the first time I've ever flipped forward in a book because the suspense was killing me, and it's also the first time that I had to re-read a chapter over and over because I just couldn't get enough of that particular scene. I look forward to seeing them all on the big screen. I saw Twilight 6 times at the movies and over 20 times on DVD so far. The cast is excellent, especially Kristen and Robert, and they did a tremendous job. I just love everything Twilight now. I really hope Stephanie decides to write a few more books in the future...fingers crossed!

Book Review: Intoxicating! It sucks you up...
Summary: 5 Stars

I am an avid novel reader since I was 13 years old. I have my own share of fave authors, mostly romantic ones, such as Judith McNaught, Jude Deveraux, Nora Roberts. My new addition to that list is Stephenie Meyer. She is a bomb!!!

Now, I am 33 years old, married with 2 toddlers and a housewife. When the Twilight movie was on its promotion, with trailers on TV before its showing, I was quite curious. So, we rented the Bluray disc of the movie this March & I fell in love with the movie. I told myself "I gotta have the novel" because its more detailed( movies are usually compressed!) I ordered at Amazon, the hardcover Twilight saga for a very reasonable price. Believe me, I couldn't put it down even for a minute. I would send my kids to the playroom just so I can have quiet time with my book. I put them to sleep early and I read until 4 a.m.

Gosh, why does it have to be sooo good?!...So intoxicating, keeps you obsessed, keeps you at the edge of you seat. Not to mention falling madly in love with the forever 17 year old Edward. That's probably the reason why I now have a huge crush on Robert Pattinson. The love story is not the corny type but it send shivers down your spine. Purely amazing, it sucks you up & you find it hard to put it down that you feel itchy to go back to it whenever you do.

I would recommend it to my friends. I just finished Breaking Dawn today & surprisingly, I will be on my 2nd reading again. It's addictive, I want to read it again.Every single page!

Great story, indeed. I have to say, this is the best love saga I have ever read in my entire life.

Book Review: Please give this a chance
Summary: 5 Stars

Please give these books a chance. Yes, on the very surface they are a story about a teenage vampire romance, but don't let that put you off. Just below that there is so much more and beneath that there is even more. The characters could easily have been written as adults, but making them teenagers adds to the difficulty of their conflicts. The characters are so well developed and you get to know so much about them that you start to care for them.
I am far from the target demographic at 36 years old. However, I have been blown away by these books. They are multi-layered and multi-faceted. There is so much more than just the relationship between the two main characters. I don't want this to become a book report and I do want to keep it short but... there are sub-plots and so many deep seeded relationships and complications resulting from those relationsips that one can forget (for a time) that this is a romance.
I love to read but read slowly; 30 pages at a time is my norm. I tore through the first book in about 5 days. The second book in about the same amount of time. The third took a little longer. There is a lot of arguing the same issue over and over and preparing for a big event that seems to take forever to happen (not what you may think). I am so glad I stuck through it though, the fourth book is so worth the wait. Of course, "everything" is tied up into managable if not neat little bows but the way the author resolves everything is natural and seemingly effortless and as a reader you don't see the resolutions coming. Please, please give these books a chance, I seriously doubt you will regret the time spent.

Book Review: A Whole New World
Summary: 5 Stars

I saw the movie "Twilight" this past Saturday; I was so intrigued that I came to Amazon to look into the rest of the saga. The last Vampire book or any other Sci-Fi novel or production for that matter was by Anne Rice; I wasn't able to finish the first book or movie when it was released (despite the witty cast members). However, after watching "Twilight" it was if I was in A Whole New World. Stephenie Meyer was able to write a saga that has been an ABSOLUTE treat to read; it did for me what books are supposed to do, what we were told as children... her writing has taken me out of my world and put me in a new one. I've only slept when my body forced me to while reading "New Moon" & "Eclipse" and have already downloaded to my Kindle and I'm ready to start "Breaking Dawn." I was amazed to learn that each book averages 600 pages in length because I can't read fast enough. I've brought my Kindle to the restroom to bath instead of shower so I wouldn't miss a word, the kitchen, wherever I go and have only slept when I didn't have a choice; which similar to Bella, in this case had me envying the Cullens' for not needing to sleep. Each page has sucked me further & further in... lol, no pun intended. Lastly, I have two absolute statements to make regarding the author: one, if I ever needed an escape in my life, it has been now and I will be forever ('even if it's a hundred thousand years,' lol) and eternally grateful and secondly, of whom I thought were my favorite author(s) for many years pales into comparison to the world the author has provided for readers and that I've been lucky enough to escape to.

Book Review: Twilight Saga beautiful , especially Breaking Dawn etc.
Summary: 5 Stars

The negative responses I've seen are either very closed-minded or very.... egotistical.. or maybe very young. It seems to me that she wrote the novels first for herself and then later was viewed for the teenage audience. Twilight could easily fit in that category (especially teenage). However, she stated once that she wrote the Saga for herself-- not for teens, or for me (I'm 27) or you-it was for herself FIRST. I think you should remember that. Maybe Breaking Dawn wasn't catered to teens or to the weak-stomach....in any case, it followed exactly in the same principles that made the other books brilliant.. the passion and the brilliance of plot and the PERSONAL creativity from the author herself... you can almost feel intrusive.. as though you're reading from S. Meyer's secret diary. Instead of complaining against a novel you could never write like in comparison on your best days(sorry), you should appreciate her artistic brain and be thankful that you're actually able to partake in her creativity by reading something that she wrote that is very personal to her. You're going to have to face that she writes to cater to herself and not you, me, teens, or anyone else. Creativity shouldn't be bounded by the borders that certain groups want to create. Let her be and create and respect that eh? Not a whole lot to ask. I love ALL her books (especially Breaking Dawn) as well as The Host. She is a brilliant writer that ensnares readers of all ages and reminds us of a TRUE LOVE that we all wanted or have at one point in our lives had... or can still have. Oooohh yeahhh. Be realistic please. yep.
