Book Review: The Truth About Forever was a SMASHING DILLY!
Summary: 5 Stars
Well, this was the first Sarah Dessen book I'd read, and I basically just picked it off a shelf and fell in LOVE with it.
I'm 14, and even for me, the story has such depth, but not enough to overwhelm you, that you find yourself enjoying it every step of the way. The protagonists, Macy, Wes, Kristy, Macy's mom, and so on, are exceptionally easy to fall in love with, as is the book. In addition to depth, there's humor, romance, suspense, thrills, touching moments, and FANTASTIC morals. Leaving aside the fact that I'm kind of a sensitive person (I cried during "Are We There Yet"), the book did bring me to tears thrice.
So I say to you, IF YOU ARE A PERSON WHO LIKES TO BE HAPPY, READ THIS BOOK!

Like all of Dessen's amazing and bittersweet novels, The Truth About Forever adds another beautiful layer to what is turning out to be an amazing career cake. It really connects with the idea with grief, and follows the main character through many emotions... but it's not even about the plot that makes the novel good. It the style of the writing. The laid back, quick, fluid writing that carries the reader on page after page. It's so expressive, so realistic, and so meaningful -- something that only great authors can portray. Buy it. NOW.Also, watch out for little tidbits that come from other novels of Dessen's. There are little refrences from her other books that make it even better.

Personally, I've read every book that Sarah Dessen has written for young adults. "The Truth About Forever" is one of my favorites. It hits a hard subject (the death of a parent) and relates it to a normal teenagers life. Macy Queen is a teen that most girls can relate to. She likes boys, sports and other typical teenage things. When her father dies, she changes. She wraps herself inside of her. Macy feels the way that many teenagers feel when tragedy strikes. They feel its their fault or that they could've done something to stop it. "The Truth About Forever" is so descriptive and well written that I could feel every emotion she felt herself. I love this book with a passion.Book Review: AWESOME

This book was absolutely awesome! I was speechless after I read it. It amazed me at how well Dessen can portray a teenager, being a teen myself, I could really relate to Macy. This is a girl who finds her true identity while trying to make everything around her perfect. She realizes that not everything has to be perfect and she meets a guy who helps her realize her true self. It was a really well-written novel, as are all of Sarah Dessen's books. Her books keep getting better each time. Although "Someone Like You" is my favorite, this one is getting closer to taking that title. This is a great read, and I would recommend it to anyone who asked for a great teen book.Book Review: fantastic book

I love Sarah Dessen's books but this is my favorite so far. I was able to relate with the main character Macy so much and it was so true to life. Many of the things that Macy has to go through in this book were happening to me at the same time as I was reading the book. I loved being able to connect with the book and being able to get so much meaning from this book. This book has so many great meanings and deals with great topics and I highly recommend this book to everyone. I just couldn't put it down it was so good.
I also recommend That Summer and Someone Like You. They too are wonderful works by Sarah Dessen and one can receive alot from them.
