Book Reviews of The Truth about Forever (Teen's Top 10 (Awards))Book Review: the truth about forever~ Summary: 5 Stars
The Truth About Forever is not just a book for teens. The writing and characters are so warmly and honestly written that girls and women of any age can appreciate Sarah Dessen's novel.
The main character Macy is so likeable, you'll find yourself rooting for her as she spends her summer trying to deal with the grief of her father's death, her boyfriend who wants to take a "break", and trying to figure out who she is and where she belongs. When she stumbles upon a job working for a catering company, Macy meets a group of co-workers and friends who are completely different from Macy, yet help her open up and look at life in ways she has never before experienced.
Dessen's characters are deeply written, charming and lovable. This book is not only entertaining but has a great lesson about life~
Book Review: All I could say was "Wow!" Summary: 5 Stars
This being my first book by Miss Dessen, I was drawn in during the ride home from the library, to sit on my reading chair, to my bed. I could NOT! put it down! I read it for four hours and was in awe.
Enter Macy, a girl whose boyfriend went away that summer to "geek" camp. After a series of parties, Macy finds herself at WISH, a catering company with a guy, Wes, that will change Macy's life forever. Both of them being held down by boyfriends and girlfriends leaves them wanting to be together but, of course, can't. Not going to spoil the plot, so I'll stop there. But, it was amazing. A story line which has benn heard dozens of times, but with an extremely fabulous translation by Miss Dessen. This book puts the Must Read in the, "Must Read List".
If you want an amazing book, this is a MUST!!!
Book Review: Praise to Sarah Dessen... Summary: 5 Stars
The Truth About Forever is very put together novel. It doesn't leave you with those uncertainty questions like: Well, why did that happen and how? Macy's father died a year and a half ago but she still hasn't really grieved yet. She also has a "perfect" boyfriend, Jason, who she thinks will make everything better. Wes and her other friends at Wish Catering show her what it's like to live. Macy learns to live and love life. Her and Wes's relationship grow stronger due to the fact that they share a common ground. But that's not all to it. I highly recommend this book of love, life, and death, to everyone who is willing to read it. Enjoy!P.S. It has nothing to even DO with Dawson's Creek. The two stories are completely different. Not to mention that this book was way more interesting than Dawson's Creek ever was.

A summer starts out very dull and boring for Macy Queen. Her boyfriend Jason goes away to Brain Camp, leaving her in charge of his job at the reference desk in the library. The summer begins getting more interesting as her life changes course she begins to question a lot of things about her life and her mother. A second job with a catering company called WISH led her to new friends and a new way of thinking. Also, her older sister decides to remodel their beach house in Florida. This causes problems by bring back painful memories of Macy's dead father. The next thing she knows, she's falling in love and returning back to her hobby, which she gave up after her father's death. Once I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down! It's a really girly book, so I definitely recommend it if you like books like that
