Book Reviews of The Truth about Forever (Teen's Top 10 (Awards))

Book Review: its official, i'm a dessen addict.
Summary: 5 Stars

THE TRUTH ABOUT FOREVER was that last Dessen book I had to read, and I guess as the cliche goes.. "save the best for last" this book was amazing.
I have stressed on this alot in some other reviews i've left, but, i look for books that i am able to relate to, and this book did that for me.
No, my fathers not dead, and i'm not exactly going throught the same things that Macy's going throught, but Dessen is such a great author, you feel like you have lost a father, you feel everything Macy feels.

this book has everything in it, intellegence, friendships, parental issues, and romance.

i LOVED LOVED LOVED this book, and i'm sure so many will too. If this is your first Dessen book, and your looking for something a little more mature, a little older, read This Lullaby, and mabye if your comfortable with this book, and the way its writen, be sure to read Someone Like You, and That summer.

its an easy reading book, it doesnt use too big of words, but again, dessen has a way about her to make you feel intellegent by using bigger words, that a younger audience would know and recognize. We all know how it feels to read a book with the sentence.. 'the apple tasted good' it doesnt make you feel intellegent or smart, but when you read something more extra orrdinary, like instead of good--- spectacular, you tend to feel a bit more intellegent.

please read this book, and all other Dessen books.

Book Review: The Truth About Forever
Summary: 5 Stars

The Truth about Forever, written by Sarah Deson, is a sad, happy, romantic, and an all around heart warming book that draws you into it and makes you think that it is real. The Truth about Forever is about a sixteen year old girl named Macy who witnesses her father's death and is never the same again. Macy is an all around good girl who's afraid of confrontation and most of all telling people what she thinks and feels, especially to her mom, a control hungry person who expects Macy to be the perfect daughter. Then Macy meets her first real group friends in a long time: Kristy, Bert, Caroline, Delia, and most importantly Wes. They help Macy see that it is ok to be sad and show it, you don't have to be strong for everyone all the time and that no one can be perfect and their flaws are what make them, them. These new thoughts get Macy to completely change her way of thinking and act like a normal kid not trying to be perfect, which her mother does not like at all. Through her journey Macy learns how to be more open and have more fun, also falling for Wes the mysterious, nice, and of course handsome, friend. While also battling an ongoing fight with her inner self about the day her father died. I love this book it will keep you guessing till the very end, flip-flop your emotions and make you never want to put the book down. If you like suspense, romance, and bit of comedy, this is the perfect book for you.

Book Review: awesome
Summary: 5 Stars

Set in present time, The Truth About Forever, talks about a sixteen year old girl named Macy Queen. Since her father died of a heart attack, Macy has been keeping a simple perfect life. This summer, her boyfriend Jason went off to brain camp and they went on a break. She ends up working part-time at Wish Catering where she meets Delia, Wes, Kristy and others who help her understand that she can have some fun and that sometimes you just got to take risks. As the summer progresses, Macy and Wes get to know each other more and more.
When reading this book I really gor hooked onto it and wanted to read on and on to see what shall happen next. I enjoy these kinds of books about teenage girls and their lives and how they deal with problems. This book was no exception because I liked the way each character's lives were pieced together in the story.
I learned the same lesson that Macy learned, that being perfect is not the best thing to be. It is just better to be yourself. I also learned that anything can look beautiful because of the way Wes turned junk into beautiful creative things that people like Caroline, Macy's sister, wanted to buy.
Just like every other book by Sarah Dessen such as This Lullaby, Someone like You and Dreamland, I would definitely recommend this book to any pre-teen/teen girl because she writes stories that we can relate to and learn things from.

Book Review: TRUTH..I LOVED IT!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

What a excellent book, I agree with most of the 5 stars reveiws sarah is one of my favorite teen writers. She just seems to narrate her characters so well. If you decide to purchese this book I would reccomend her others too. (Someone Like You) This Lullaby) (dreamland) (that summer) there all excellect. Truth is one of my favorite sarah books. She just alwayz seems to have a life lesson or some important at the end when you flip the last pages of her books over. I never wanted any of them to end there gripping and awsome. And very well written.

Truth starts out with macy's father dying. She can't grieve and is trapped with her feelings of missing him so much, and trying to be perfect. She feels stuck now in the girl whos dad died roll. Which drawls her to her boring boyfriend Jason. He is perfect and everything Macy wants to be. But when he leaves for brain camp that summer things start to change. Macy begins to break out when her mother throws a party and has wish catering there. She sees wish catering and is drawn to the chaos. And dessen characters there are awsome, Isabelle, Morgan, Bert, and most importantly Wes. Which I loved Macy and his relationship I wish that he was right here, and how there relationship grew. Macy is finally happy but will it last???

AWSOME GREAT FANTASTIC...read it!!!!

and nothing to do with dawsons creek who thought of that??

Book Review: the actual truth about forever
Summary: 5 Stars

I must say, that just finishing the book about ten minutes ago, has got me looking on a new perspective on life. Dressen has sparked something in me in this book. In a way I find myself in Macy's own shoes, and that's what I like about the book. You can take the characters and almost put yourself in one or mores position.

You have Macy, who after the tragic death of her dad, finds herself in a rut that's between her boyfriend, Jason, and living life. Not making lists, acting on impulse, until she meets the Wish Catering Team. From that point on Macy finds herself opening up more and more to Wes, Delia's nephew, who has lost his mother as well. You know there's going to be chemisty and the game is Truth just makes it all the better.

I've cried in frustration at parts of this book the way Macy was so oblivious to the attraction between her and Wes, and how she had actually wanted to go back to Jason and have the 'perfect' aspect of life. The life of not being outside of the box where, in my perspective, is the best place to be. Macy grows up that summer and realizes that love doesn't wait around forever, that's it's now... or never.

This is the best Dressen book i've read and The Truth About Forever, is an amazing book for all ages and I highly recommend it for everyone, especially the ones who enjoy a happy ending.
