Book Reviews of The True Story of the Three Little PigsBook Review: The Best 3 Little Pigs Story I've Ever Read Summary: 5 Stars
This post-modern story of the 3 Little Pigs takes a completely different approach than the other versions. Author Jon Scieszka does a wonderful job telling the whole story from the Wolf's point of view. The illustrations by Lane Smith enhance the text wonderfully through out the book. There are many things in this story that the reader finds out about the "innocent" Wolf that nobody ever knew. The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs is a funny childrens book that is sure to make anyone smile.
Book Review: Really funny twist to an old classic Summary: 5 Stars
Many think of the story "The three little pigs" as a worn out fairy tale. This book puts a new twist to the tale by adding a different point of view ... particularly from the WOLF's side. My children "howl" at the wolfs version of his mistreatment and being so misunderstood by the world. Opens ears of kids to listen to both sides and make up your mind as to what really happens..... my kids determined the wolf was full of it and the pigs in the end win out in their minds. Very funny book.
Book Review: The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs, March 31, 2005 Summary: 5 Stars
The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs by Jon Sciezka was a fun filled child book. This book tells the wolfs point of view. Apparently to the wolf he only was guilty of having a sneeze and a needing a cup of sugar for his sweet old granny. It is a fun book to read to everyone who has only heard the 3 little pigs story . It has detailed pictures and is easy to read. I defenitly would reccomand this book to people because it says that there are many sides to a story.
Book Review: The Real Story of the Three Little Pigs Summary: 5 Stars
This story says that u shouldn't believe everything you hear because not all of it is right. The wolf is saying that it wasn't how it seemed in the story the three little pigs. He was telling his side of the story. The lesson in this story is that you shouldn't believe everything you hear, and this is a good lesson for kids to learn. The age level of this book is about a 1st to 4th. I liked this book and I think that even adults can enjoy this book and find some humor in it.
Book Review: Hilarious-One of My All Time Favorite Books Summary: 5 Stars
This is one of my all time favorite picture books. I have read it and used it as a teacher with children from grades K-3 as well as with my own children. Reading the story always sparks great debate as to whom children believe--the wolf's account or the pig's, and children of all ages can see the humor in this account of the wolf's version of the story of the 3 Little Pigs. I couldn't get through a school year without reading The True Story of the Three Little Pigs.
