Book Review: Sweet and Enduring Book
Summary: 5 Stars
This was a very fun read. It's more like a 4-1/2 stars to me though. I enjoyed the passion that was portrayed between Darcy and Elizabeth. The only complaint that I would have with the book would be Lizzy's self-doubt with the relationship during the middle part of the book. I entirely blame Elizabeth on the torture and pain that both of them felt. In the original P&P, Lizzy had some self-doubts because of the way her family embarrasses her. However in this variation, I didn't really find any faults with her parents, not even her mother. Darcy even had no issues with her parents, which was entirely not the case in the original P&P. So not sure why Lizzy felt at all doubtful about his love towards her. I wished she was more stronger and knew her self-worth during the long agonizing separation they had. And I do mean long, because there were times where I felt that Lizzy didn't even deserve him. One minute they're swearing to each other that they won't lie or play any games with each other. The next, Elizabeth is hiding her feelings and then Darcy starts to purposely get her jealous. But I guess the meaning that the author wanted to portray is that even with all the torture that both of them had to go through, it was still all worth it at the end.
I definitely wouldn't mind reading other books by this author. Her dialogue flowed and some were quite witty.
